Where Can You Teach?

We work exclusively with international public schools that offer safe, professional, and structured teaching environments. The main difference in educational experiences comes from the lifestyle your chosen city offers. China has cities of several categories, the most famous being a Tier 1 City and a Tier 2 City.

Tier 1 Cities are larger with a slightly higher cost of living. These include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. Since the cost of living is higher, salaries in these cities are somewhat higher as well.

Tier 2 Cities are still quite large, but boast a lower cost of living. These Tier 2 Cities include Nanjing, Suzhou and Hefei. These cities have slightly lower salary but the expenses are lower, causing savings to balance out with Tier 1 City positions.

Available locations provided by China Link ESL include:

  • Beijing – China’s sprawling capital with a history stretching back 3 millennia, combining modern architecture with beloved historic sites.

  • Nanjing – Serving as a capital of China’s eastern Jiangsu province, Nanjing is recognized as one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China. It has numerous historical sites and a strong university culture.

  • Suzhou – As part of the Yangtze River Delta Metropolis Cities, Suzhou is known for its canals, bridges and classical gardens. Waterways, stone bridges and peaceful walking areas define this city.
